Protecting Staff & Patients from Infections In Community Pharmacy

Since the Pharmacy Act of 2007, community pharmacies are licensed healthcare facilities.   As such, pharmacies are frequented by vulnerable patients who may carry infection, or be at high risk of contracting an infection.   We have a duty of care to ourselves, our colleagues, our customers and patients to be aware of the potential ways infection can be transmitted and to act in a way that minimises that risk.

Required Time in Course: 15mins
